Kim and Otto Hopfinger were named recipients of the Hustisford Lions Club’s 2008 Community Service Award during a ceremony following the village’s Memorial Day observance. The couple were recognized for their involvement with youth athletics as well as other civic and church activities.

Several area Lions Clubs have combined forces to assist a Hustisford area man who suffered a spinal stroke. Presenting checks to Donald Wolter, center, were Bob Justmann, left, Hustisford Lions Club, and James Schmidt, right, Iron Ridge Lions. The Horicon Lions also contributed toward the project. The funds will make it possible for Wolter to purchase a chair lift.

Eleven Hustisford High School Spanish Club members will travel to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico June 16-20, and the Hustisford Lions Club presented the club with a check for $500 to help defray trip expenses. The club also provided three $500 scholarships to graduating seniors.
